Sounds Underground

Support Us

Sounds Underground has established a reputation for being an innovative, independent-minded organisation that programmes new music in thoughtful ways and brings together the best chamber musicians in the business to perform new commissions. Above all, it gives composers the opportunity to have their music performed at the outset of their careers.

It relies on the generous support of individuals and organisations who believe in the value of this activity. Our funds are used to commission new work and to put on concerts. A regular donation will help Sounds Underground to become a sustainable organisation.

£50 allows us to hire a rehearsal venue for two hours.
£100 covers the cost of reproducing parts or posting publicity.
£200 provides the fee for a recording engineer.
£300 pays an artist's fees for rehearsals and concert.
£1000 could be the commission fee for a composer.
£5000 would pay all the costs of a commissioning a composer to write a new chamber work, and putting on a first performance.

In return, we promise to keep you in touch with developments and to send you free tickets to at least one concert a year. You will be able to follow the progress of a new piece of music from commission to first performance. There will also be opportunities to meet the composers and performers.

If you would like to support the cutting-edge creative work of Sounds Underground please contact our Artistic Director and Administrator, Rose Hankey.
